Keeping Track of your grade During the course, I am responsible for grading individual tests and assignments in a timely basis and you are responsible for keeping track of your overall grade. I will enter the grades for Aplia problem sets into the course gradebook every on the dates shown in the schedule. Tests and other assignments will appear in the course gradebook as they are graded. I have create an excel worksheet for you to keep track of your grades. See "gradekeeper" in the syllabus. Enter your scores in the white spaces and it will show you your points and the total possible points in each category and in the course. You can use it to see your current % and how future scores will affect your grade. Late work Problem sets and tests will not under any circumstances be reopened, even if at the last minute before it closes, your computer crashes, your dog dies, you come down with the whooping cough and your house is swallowed up in a flood and all of your friend perish in a plague of locusts not even then Therefore, I strongly recommend you make sure that your have completed this work well before they close, in case your computer does crash or As to the portfolio assignments (applications and market evaluation). You will be marked down 10% for each day that they are late. Also, the first two applications can be revised for a higher grade but ONLY if they are turned in on time. Extra Credit There is no "extra credit". In college, it is important that your grades are based on the actual competence of your work, not just your willingness to do more work. However, there are some very important opportunities to improve your work and thus your grades: · Do the problem sets until you get all the answers correct. There is no excuse not to have a perfect problem set score. · The Tests (other than the final) can be taken twice. So, review your incorrect answers carefully, study more where needed and redo them. The grade you receive will be the highest grade. · Applications: You may make changes to your first set of applications (see assignment directions for detail) as long as you turn in the applications on time . This is a great way to not only learn the material better, but improve your grade. Incompletes or grade changes
