 Availability:                  Half hour before any scheduled class. Arranged per students needs. Always via e-mail (within one business day).

Attendance:                 Attendance policy is set by school admissions department. Because of critical involvement in class, individual participation is required of each student. Completion of Lab and performance is critical to outcome of course.  Absence from class will have a profound negative effect on your grade.

All completed assignments are to be emailed every Thursday for complete lab credit. No partial Assignments will be accepted.  

Homework:                  Homework is assigned from Honda University and due at start of each session.  

Class Objectives:        This course will provide students with the fundamentals of automotive On-Board diagnosis.  

Course objective:        Students will discuss the history, regulations, vocabulary, and diagnostic strategies Honda/Acura vehicles. Topics include; fuel systems, electrical systems, ignition systems, basic gasoline engine functions and five gas functions.

 ASE Test Note:                     All Students taking ASE test must have valid copy of test dates turned in for missing class credit.

Week 812/6,8                       Paper from Internet research. You are to write a paper on what is the "current average fuel economy". Paper

                                                has to include where you did your research, 250 words in APA style format. I want your view on this not    

                                                another publishers view. Paper is due Tuesday at start of class.

Week 9:12/13,14                 Final Article, Your final paper and accompanying PowerPoint presentation in on... The combustion process

                                                that Honda uses to develop its low emission, High horse power engines. You are expected to develop

                                                a 15 minute presentation that your peers will grade you on. Handouts for the presentation and the visual

                                                presentation are going to be part of the grade. This project is due December 20th no exceptions.

                                                Grading scale is as follows:

                                                PowerPoint/Video presentation- 25 points

                                                Hand-out quality-                              5 points

                                                Content-                                           50 points

                                                Your presentation of material-       10 points

                                                My discretionary  points                 10 points

            Homework,                Thursday all  Modules are due to Instructor.

                                                At this time you should have 100% PACT completion and a minimum of 65% Self-study to pass

                                                this class with a "C" grade.  Late module work will not be accepted after this date No EXCEPTIONS

Week 9: 12/20                       Final Testing, There is a final test on scantron summarizing this study course.
