Scan Tool and Lab Scope Guide, AC Delco Book three
Cost for books; Scan Book $40.00, GM SET Book #3 $30.00. These books are to be paid at the cashier window and are issued by the instructor upon verification of receipt.

Students in the automotive technology program will have the knowledge to successfully complete the S/P2 Safety Exam.
Students in the automotive technology program will research applicable vehicle and service information, system operation, and technical service bulletins.
Students in the automotive technology program will complete work orders to include customer information, vehicle information, customer concerns, related service history, cause and correction.
Students in the automotive technology program will demonstrate proper use of hand tools, power tools, and service equipment.
Students in the automotive technology program will possess knowledge to identify and describe operation of different power train systems.
If you as a student require special needs for learning, it is your obligation to inform instructor, (special needs include, closed caption video, disabled students assistance, or any special needs in learning assistance). The instructor assumes no responsibility in assessment of your needs.
All students are required to turn in one valid shop card at start of lab. This to cover all shop incurred expenses. Shop cards may be purchased at the cashier’s window, Monday thru Thursday, 8 am to 3 pm. The shop card is green and has “Automotive Repair” printed on face. The account is #ASO-4200, the cost is $10.00. Place your name on it as soon as you purchase it. Card is valid in all automotive classes and does not expire.
All students are required to have “basic hand tools” Ask instructor for tool list for your class.
In order to receive credit for lab activity you will need to meet the ten- (10) requirements listed below. Students, who do not meet the requirements 1, 2, & 3, only observe lab exercises and will obtain a lower grade for lab exercises.
1. Turn in valid shop card.
2. Work with own tools.
3. Work with proper shop clothing. (Uniform, shoes, ETC.)
4. Work with safety glasses.
5. Arrive on time & take appropriate length break.
6. Clean up after any work.
7. Shows initiative in researching problems.
8. Compliance with rules and policies of classroom.
9. Completion of lab projects in timely manner.
10. Completed written repair order.
1. No student parking in lab area without prior approval, (instructor may enforce discipline action for repeat violations).
2. No student parking without written repair order.
3. Only student’s personal automobile will be accepted.
4. Lab cost of $10.00 assessed on non-students autos for repair.
5. All costs incurred during semester are to be paid upon completion of course, or final grade will be affected.

Final Grades and evaluation are based upon the following criteria:
Homework (no make – up assignments including quizzes and tests) 15%
Lab Assignments (no make – up) 30%
Class participation 10%
Mid – term Test 20%
Final Exam (required for any grade) 20%
Discretionary points 05% 100%
